Cashier/Kitchen helper ( morning shift: 11am - 3:30pm)

VietCrave is a modern Vietnamese takeout and boba tea shop in Smithfield, RI, serving crave-worthy dishes and handcrafted drinks in a fast-paced, friendly environment. We’re looking for a reliable, upbeat team member to join our crew. If you enjoy helping customers, working with food and drinks, and being part of a growing local business, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Cashier duties:

• Greet customers with a warm, welcoming attitude
• Ring up orders accurately using our POS system
• Answer basic menu questions and help customers choose dishes or drinks
• Package takeout orders and ensure presentation is on point
• Keep the front counter clean, organized, and photo-ready
• Restock utensils, napkins, and supplies as needed
• Assist with light prep or boba drink support during busy times
• Communicate with kitchen staff to keep orders flowing smoothly
• Handle payments and provide correct change
• Maintain a calm, helpful attitude—even during rushes

Kitchen helper duties:

• Prep veggies, portioning meats, and assisting the chef with daily kitchen tasks.
• Help out with packing takeout orders.
• Help with assemble dining/takeout dishes.
• Restock supplies.

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for handling cash and card transactions
• Cashier or food service experience
• Willingness to learn about Vietnamese dishes and boba drinks
• Team player who’s ready to jump in wherever needed
• Available for evening and/or weekend shifts

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
