Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing tools like OpenTable for reservations management.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items, enhancing guest satisfaction and increasing sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety.
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure their needs are met, address any concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties and manage basic math calculations for bills and tips.
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain a smooth operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
- Previous experience in serving roles including host/hostess duties or bartending is a plus.
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes.
