Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance
- Maintain well-organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to attract customer attention
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts using retail math skills
- Support the team with phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting remote customers, ensuring clear communication at all times
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable
- Previous retail sales experience, including cashiering and cash handling proficiency
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for transactions and inventory management
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to support team efforts when needed
- Ability to perform product demos confidently while highlighting key features to boost sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stocking procedures to maintain an attractive store layout
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude, patience, and active listening abilities
- Experience in grocery store or similar retail environments is a plus but not required
