Vie Management is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance operations at a residential community in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

- Complete general maintenance and repair work, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and service calls
- Prepare apartments for move-in, including inspections, repairs, and make-ready work
- Perform routine property walks to identify maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance and storage areas
- Properly remove and dispose of trash and debris
- Responding to emergency maintenance issues as part of an on-call rotation
- Communicate clearly with management and residents regarding repairs and timelines
- Technicians must have their own basic hand tools. Company-provided tools, equipment, and materials will be available for larger or specialized maintenance needs
On-Call & Emergency Response
- Participate in a consistent rotating on-call schedule, including nights and weekends
- Must be able to respond to emergencies within 30 minutes
- Reliable transportation and a working phone are required
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of maintenance experience (property management, apartment, or related field preferred)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance
- Type II HVAC Certification
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to be on-call and respond to emergencies within 30 minutes (Must have reliable transportation and phone)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Apartment or student housing maintenance experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced residential environment
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
