DB2 LUW Database server installation, configuration and upgrade on Linux servers.
- Database disaster recovery setup (HADR).
- Database server encryption using DB2 native encryption and IBM Guardium.
- Manage database authentication and authorization.
- Database monitoring and performance optimization; db2expln, db2advis, db2top, db2diag, db2pd etc.
- Database backup and log management; database restoration from incremental/full backup image.
- Database storage space (tablespaces) and memory (bufferpools) management; database capacity planning.
- Design and implement database changes according to business requirement; roll-out changes to various database environments with releases.
- Data movement across various database environments.
- Triggers/Stored procedure/Functions/indexes creation based on application requirement.
- Logical data modelling and ERD generation using Erwin.
- Data Profiling and cleansing using SQL statements.
- Perform database maintenance activities such as runstats, reorg, snapshots, prun logs etc.
- Knowledge of bash/shell scripting and cron scheduling.
- Basic knowledge of ETL and associated processes.
