We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General and Vascular Sonographer to join our team. This role involves performing ultrasound examinations to assist in diagnosing various medical conditions while ensuring high standards of patient care and comfort. Responsibilities
- Conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes. Echocardiography experience or willingness to cross train is preferable.
- Utilize appropriate sonography techniques to capture high-quality images.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively communicate findings with healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to safety protocols during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the examination process.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient treatment plans.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and sonography practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic sonography specializing in General and Vascular ultrasound.
- Dual modality trained sonographer in General and Vascular ultrasound. Echocardiography experience preferred but not required.
- Certification in sonography with ARDMS or CCI credentials or eligible to sit for registry exam.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner.
- Willingness to cross train and participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
