Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and detail-oriented Game Associate to join our team! You’ll help deliver an excellent customer experience while handling daily store operations, buying/trading games, and preparing inventory for sale. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about gaming and takes pride in restoring and testing hardware.
Duties
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service to gamers of all ages
- Process sales, purchases, and trade-ins at the register using our point-of-sale system
- Evaluate and test incoming games, consoles, controllers, and accessories for functionality
- Clean, restore, and prepare used items to “like-new” condition for the sales floor
- Accurately test and troubleshoot video game systems, cartridges, discs, and peripherals
- Organize and maintain an attractive, well-stocked store environment
- Stay up-to-date on current and retro gaming titles, hardware, and market values
- Assist with opening/closing procedures and general store upkeep
Requirements
- Passion for video games (retro and modern) and genuine excitement about the hobby
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, upbeat attitude
- Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to test and diagnose issues with consoles, games, and controllers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends, as well full shifts (morning and evenings)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience soldering or basic electronics repair
- Ability to replace analog sticks / perform controller repairs
- Previous retail or cash-handling experience
- Knowledge of current market values for retro games and systems

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
