Position Summary
As a Contact Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients calling our practice. Your role will include scheduling appointments, assisting with patient inquiries, verifying insurance, and coordinating concierge-level support. This is a critical role that supports the clinical and administrative teams in delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional, compassionate manner
- Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Provide information about medical services, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate concierge services to support patient needs and satisfaction
- Verify patient insurance and assist with pre-authorization processes
- Collaborate closely with clinical and front-office staff to ensure efficient workflows
- Document all patient interactions accurately and in compliance with HIPAA
- Follow up on missed appointments and rescheduling requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
- 1 years of customer service or call center experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Athenahealth, Epic, or similar) is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
