Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Administrator, or a new administrator we can train to oversee the operations of our senior care facility. Must possess a PA Personal Care license. This is a part-time position between 20-30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a background in long-term care, hospital systems, leadership and /or memory care. You must have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively manage staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a supportive environment for both residents and employees. There is a resident care coordinator to assist you on site and provide support for a successful tenure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring high standards of care and service are maintained.
- Lead and mentor staff members, promoting professional development and teamwork.
- Manage resident admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition for all individuals.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in senior care.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to long-term care and memory care.
- Monitor medication administration processes to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Maintain financial oversight of the facility, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for residents with developmental disabilities or dementia.
- Foster relationships with families, providing support and communication regarding resident care.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in an administrative role within health care or senior living environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices in dementia care.
- Financial acumen to manage budgets effectively and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with group home or retirement home operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating empathy towards residents' needs.
