Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in tax resolution, IRS negotiations, and compliance matters. You will play a key role in representing clients before the IRS and providing practical solutions to tax-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, collections, and compliance matters
- Handle tax resolution cases including Offers in Compromise (OIC), Installment Agreements, Penalty Abatement, and Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status
- Review IRS transcripts and assess client tax liabilities
- Communicate with clients to gather financial information and provide case updates
- Prepare and review federal tax returns where required
- Develop tailored strategies to resolve outstanding tax issues
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification
- Proven experience in tax resolution and IRS procedures
- Strong understanding of federal tax laws and regulations
- Experience working with IRS systems and transcripts (e.g., CAF, e-Services)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to handle client enquiries and other external communication
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience working in a tax law firm or tax resolution firm
- Prior experience handling high-volume casework
