Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and providing medication information.
- Administer medications under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile preparations, including IV infusions.
- Maintain accurate records of medication orders, inventory levels, and patient profiles.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care in acute care settings.
- Stay informed about medical terminology and pharmacy practices to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold standards of practice within the pharmacy.
Requirements
- Spanish speaking
- Experience with DigitalRx
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations, particularly in hospital or acute care settings.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and protocols within the pharmacy.
