We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Multifamily Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of a multifamily apartment community. This role is essential in delivering exceptional resident experiences, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting the property's overall financial performance.
Responsibilities include assisting with leasing activities, rent collections, resident communications, work order coordination, reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations.
The Assistant Property Manager will work closely with the Property Manager, Community Director, and Maintenance Team to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained community. As a primary point of contact for residents, this individual will assist with move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, resident concerns, and community engagement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, technology-savvy, and capable of managing multiple priorities while contributing to a positive and professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily property management operations
• Support leasing efforts, including tours, applications, and resident onboarding
• Coordinate rent collections and delinquency follow-up
• Manage resident communications and customer service requests
• Coordinate and track maintenance work orders
• Assist with lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs
• Maintain accurate resident and property records
• Prepare reports and support financial performance initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies
• Support resident retention and community engagement programs
Qualifications
• Must reside within 15 miles of the property for timely response and on-site availability
• Minimum of 5 years of multifamily property management experience
• Strong knowledge of property management software, including AppFolio and Blue Moon
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong financial and analytical abilities
• Thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations
• Valid driver's license required
