Overview
Victory Machine & Fab is expanding and is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This position is being added due to continued company growth. You'll join an experienced team that takes pride in craftsmanship, quality, and working together to deliver exceptional products for our customers.
This is not a repetitive production welding position. We build custom machinery, industrial equipment, prototypes, fixtures, racks, structural weldments, and short-run production. Every project is different, offering the opportunity to apply your skills to a wide variety of custom fabrication challenges.
Our fabrication department features laser and waterjet cutting, saws, press brakes, roll formers, welding, wet paint, powder coat, and final assembly, allowing you to work on projects from raw material through completed product.
Duties
- Fabricate, fit, weld, and assemble custom products from engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and templates.
- Perform fixture welding and peg table welding.
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using MIG, TIG, brazing, soldering, and other welding processes as required.
- Cut, bend, grind, and finish materials using fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- Perform first-article and in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Monitor welding and fitting processes to prevent distortion, warping, and other quality issues.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Skills
- 10 years of fabrication and welding experience preferred. Equivalent experience demonstrating advanced fabrication skills will also be considered.
- Ability to fabricate from blueprints, drawings, and templates with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of weld symbols, fabrication techniques, and industry standards.
- Stainless steel fabrication and welding experience is required.
- Experience building custom, one-off, and prototype projects.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to safely operate fabrication and welding equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Experience welding sanitary piping systems is a plus.
