Seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the greater Detroit area. Responsibilities will be to serve as the Real Estate Project Manager for the development of new franchise locations throughout the United States. The Real Estate Project Manager responsibilities encompass managing new retail franchise development process from real estate acquisition through completion of construction. Responsibilities include onboarding new franchisees, assisting with location and procurement of commercial real estate, preparing construction estimates, securing financing, preparing scopes of work, assisting with building design and construction, and acting as project manager for completion of new franchise locations. The Real Estate Project Manager will have responsibility to ensure project completion on time and within budgets, develop new and enhance existing relationships with franchisees and partners, and maintain accurate project records and files following the company’s established procedures.
· Prepare and deliver new franchisee onboarding presentations.
· Assemble new franchise team, contact information, meeting cadence and conduct documented regular Weekly Franchise Reviews to ensure project stays on track.
· Facilitate commercial real estate acquisition of property or existing businesses in franchisees location.
· Review real estate purchase documents including LOI, lease agreements and purchase agreements.
· Partner with franchisee, engineers and architects to complete site and facility design to company brand standards.
· Provide cost estimates and quotations for building and equipment required to operate the franchise.
· Complete timing plans for all tasks required to complete the project on time.
· Lead weekly franchise review meetings with stakeholders to monitor construction progress and address issues. Conduct bi-weekly franchise reviews with corporate leadership team.
· Complete construction on-site reviews to ensure project timing and adherence to brand standards and readiness for store opening.
· Establish and maintain all franchise records using Franconnect franchise software.
· Document all things-gone wrong and things-gone right lessons learned and update brand standards and/or processes as needed.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in a relevant technical field of study including Engineering, Construction, or Project Management.
· 5 years of experience with real estate, project management, construction, franchise development, finance, or other relevant fields.
· Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook), and Adobe.
· Ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple locations, both virtual and face-to-face. Occasional domestic travel required.
· Ability to multitask and possess excellent leadership, communication, recording, organizational and judgement skills.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
