What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Staff position at Victory Junction?
Victory Junction is a summer camp that provides life-changing camp experiences to children with serious and chronic medical conditions and are looking to hire staff in a variety of roles this summer!
Thanks to caring staff and volunteers, kids who come to Victory Junction leave with newfound hopes and dreams, and sometimes they may even want to grow up to be just like you!
This year’s Camp Theme, It is Possible highlights the incredible impact you can have on Campers. As a staff member, you’ll help children discover what’s possible when they feel supported, celebrated, and empowered.

Dates: Late May-early August (dates vary based on position)
Qualifications:
- 18 years old (18 year olds must be or about to be a HS graduate)
- Residential position: must be able to live on camp for the entire summer
- High energy work environment: must be physically and emotionally able to support and care for our campers while maintaining a positive outlook
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED certification before camp starts (online course accepted)
- If applying to be a lifeguard, we are able to help with certification
Positions Available:
- Cabin Counselors: Serve on a team of 3-5 counselors and act as the primary role model for 4 to 6 campers in their cabin.
- Program Counselors: Specialize in a specific program area such as lifeguarding our waterpark & boating areas, adventure (high ropes), or theater. Plan and facilitate safe activities that are catered to the specific needs of our campers each week. When not facilitating the activity in the program area, program counselors will transition back to the cabin and provide support to campers.
