The Sales Porter will assist our sales team to provide smooth service to our customers working on buying a vehicle. They will move customer vehicles in and around the lot as needed, ensure vehicles are kept in a clean and damage-free manner, and help with cleaning and custodial duties in and around the lot areas. The ideal candidate has an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a positive attitude and professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment that includes enduring the heat of summer and the cold of winter and should be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.  This job description summary outlines core aspects of this position, but additional duties may be required on a routine basis. Responsibilities Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answering any questions and/or directing them to the appropriate person or location Installs disposable protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service Delivers keys and repair order to the appropriate Sales staff member after parking vehicle Helps maintain a clean and safe service area by performing general cleaning duties (trash removal, sweeping, etc.) Retrieves vehicles for customers when picking up, waiting at the vehicle, and thanking customers for their business Follows all safety and security procedures Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required Performs other duties as assigned Job Requirement:Requirements Valid and unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record Ability to safely drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles a plus Professional and dependable Ability to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces Safety and customer service oriented Basic computer and internet skills Outstanding communication skills Professional appearance and work ethic Ability to read and comprehend instructions Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Compensation Competitive Pay Based on Experience Medical Benefits Paid Vacation Holidays Professional Workplace Non-Smoking Workplace Drug Free Workplace Opportunity for Advancement Direct Deposit 401(k) with Company Match The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this position.
