Job Type: Full-time (W-2 Employee)

About Victory Field Operations
Victory Field Operations (VFO) is a data-driven field operations firm that candidates and causes trust for ballot access, field programs, GOTV, and recounts—delivering integrity, confidence, and measurable results from strategy to Election Day.
We’re building a company that sets the national standard for how petition management, canvassing, and recount work is done. The Director of Project Management is a key leader in making that a reality.
Why Work for VFO
At VFO, you’re not just managing timelines—you’re architecting the ground game that determines who gets on the ballot and who wins.
- You are a core member of the leadership team, working directly with ownership and senior leaders.
- You’ll have the opportunity to build, lead, and scale a high-performance Project Management team.
- Your success will be tied to clear, measurable outcomes and you’ll be rewarded for hitting them.
- We care about your personal, professional, and financial goals and expect this role to grow as VFO grows nationally.
We are one of the only firms in this space that consistently pays our people, backs our standards, and refuses to cut corners.
About the Role
The Director of Project Management is responsible for overseeing all VFO projects—petitions, field programs, GOTV, recounts, and related operations—from a strategic and operational level. You will manage and develop Project Managers, implement systems and KPIs, ensure quality and compliance, and serve as a key point of contact for leadership and major clients.
If you’re a disciplined, metrics-driven leader who can balance strategy and execution—and you’re comfortable owning outcomes—this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, manage, and develop the Project Management team to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to VFO’s quality and integrity standards.
- Build and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and systems for petitions, canvassing, GOTV, and recount operations.
- Set clear KPIs and performance expectations for projects and Project Managers, and review results regularly with leadership.
- Oversee project planning, launch, execution, and closeout across multiple concurrent campaigns and clients.
- Partner with recruitment, HR, processing, and fraud/auditing teams to ensure each project is properly staffed, supported, and monitored.
- Monitor project health daily/weekly (production, validity, staffing, budget, risks) and intervene early to correct issues.
- Work directly with senior leadership to forecast capacity, prioritize opportunities, and align resources with strategic goals.
- Support high-level client communications on project status, risks, and results; participate in key client calls/meetings as needed.
- Ensure all projects adhere to legal requirements, internal policies, and VFO’s standards for integrity and transparency.
- Conduct field and office visits to observe operations, coach Project Managers, and reinforce expectations on the ground.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, technology use, and process improvement to increase efficiency and results.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a high-accountability, data-driven leader who can build teams, drive execution, and protect our standards.
Do NOT apply if:
- You avoid hard conversations about performance or quality.
- You are comfortable “polishing” numbers instead of fixing problems.
- You see SOPs and metrics as suggestions instead of non-negotiables.
- You want a purely desk job and are unwilling to get into the field when needed.
DO apply if:
- You take full ownership of outcomes—not just activities.
- You think in terms of dashboards, KPIs, and systems, and actually use them to manage.
- You can coach Project Managers with clarity, consistency, and fairness.
- You’re willing to get hands-on: ride along in the field, walk the floor in processing, and sit with auditors to understand issues.
- You’re comfortable operating in a fast-paced, political environment with tight deadlines.
- You have reliable transportation and an active cell phone and are willing to travel within Michigan (and potentially to other states as we grow).
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in campaigns, field operations, petition management, GOTV, recounts, political consulting, or similar high-intensity project work.
- Prior leadership experience managing Project Managers, regional directors, or multi-site operations.
- Strong operational and organizational skills; able to juggle multiple projects and priorities at once.
- Proven ability to build and implement SOPs, processes, and KPI frameworks.
- Comfort with data tools and reporting (spreadsheets, CRMs, dashboards).
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to brief leadership and clients clearly.
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours during peak periods (election cycles, filing deadlines, recounts).
Compensation & Growth
- Employment Type: Full-time W-2 employee.
- Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, with the potential for performance-based incentives tied to project outcomes, team performance, and company growth.
- High performers in this role will have opportunities for expanded responsibility and leadership as VFO scales to more states and larger projects.
What We Provide
- Training on VFO’s systems, standards, and strategic approach to ballot access, field, GOTV, and recounts.
- A strong team in processing, fraud/auditing, recruitment, and leadership to support execution.
- Clear company mission, vision, and core values that guide decision-making.
- A voice at the table as we refine our national growth strategy and service offerings.
Our Standards
VFO leads with Integrity, Discipline, Accountability, Innovation, Results, and Transparency.
As Director of Project Management, you are expected to model and enforce these values:
- Tell the truth about where projects stand—internally and externally.
- Protect the integrity of our work, our clients, and the process.
- Use innovation and discipline to solve problems, not shortcuts.
- Drive results while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards.
Equal Opportunity
Victory Field Operations is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply, provided they can meet our legal, ethical, and quality standards.
Work Location:
Primarily in Michigan, with office-based work (Fowlerville, MI) and travel to field locations and occasional client sites as needed.
If you’re ready to build and lead the team that runs the best ground-game operation in the country—and be rewarded for real results—apply now to join VFO as our Director of Project Management.
