JOB SUMMARY:

The Test Facility Operator/Commissioning Tech is responsible for setup, operation, and coordination of testing of Victory Energy Operations (“VEO”) steam generating equipment and control systems within the Test Facility. The position is also responsible for maintenance of the facility and equipment, compliance with applicable regulations, documentation of activities, procurement, insurance compliance, state inspection compliance, and any other pertinent operations requirements for the Test Facility

RESPONSIBILITIES by location:

Test Facility:

  • Operation of industrial fire tube boiler and/or water tube boiler with 100% makeup water
  • Assemble piping, ductwork, controls, and other boiler equipment
  • Perform tests to determine chemical levels in feed water and condensate
  • Perform daily boiler operation checklist
  • Manage industrial water softener system and feed tanks
  • Manage industrial de-aerator system
  • Operate and test industrial boiler feed water pumps
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance checks
  • Performs checks on systems during shift and ensure documentation is kept current and complete
  • Take periodic meter readings
  • Monitor all boiler house equipment, processes, gauges, and charts

Customer Site:

  • Must be able to complete inspection of installed boiler systems and auxiliary equipment to ensure readiness to commission. Prepare punch-lists based on pre-commissioning site visits.
  • Safe and Efficient Start-up and COMMISSIONING of boiler systems and accessories to meet performance guarantees.
  • Set Combustion Curves, collect operational data for VEO Engineering review, collect and record data as required for VEO documentation of commissioning activities.
  • Inspect, maintain and service boiler/burner systems and auxiliary equipment, including VEO’s Rental fleet.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in industrial boiler/burner COMMISSIONING and operations required.
  • Knowledge of boiler/burner systems, auxiliary boiler-room equipment, and associated control systems for Industrial packaged boilers.
  • High school or equivalent. Graduate of a Technical School related to Combustion and Burner Management
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Burner Management and Combustion Control Systems
  • Must be able to read Mechanical P&ID drawings.
  • Combustion Tuning Experience
  • Read and follow Engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, piping schematics, logic diagrams and perform simple engineering calculations.
  • Familiarity with NFPA and ASME Pressure Vessel codes.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use a variety of hand tools.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and it’s insurers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment for this position does include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and working in confined space and elevated workspaces.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to stand 10 or more hours per day and operate a variety of hand tools both powered and manual.

· Position requires standing or walking throughout the workday and frequently involves stooping and kneeling.

· Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks.

· Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with confined space entry and industrial boiler manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.

· Must be able to lift/maneuver 75lbs. unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipment.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
