What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at Victory Energy Operations, LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform engineering duties, in support of the fabrication of boilers and various equipment. This includes project engineering work while supporting design engineering needs from Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Aftermarket parts & Service, VEO sub-vendors as well as new project development.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide engineering support to the project managers. This will involve performing boiler performance and ASME Code calculations, ductwork sizing, structural engineering design and analysis and other needs as they arise.
- Provide design and analysis assistance for improvements to our existing equipment offerings.
- Provide engineering support for the VEO fabrication facility. This will include design of various equipment, fixtures, supports, and components used in the fabrication of boilers and other equipment in our Collinsville facilities.
- Provide design and analysis assistance in development of new product development.
- Close coordination and communication with other departments is essential. Timely completion of assignments is essential to avoid negatively impacting other departments.
- Help troubleshooting and resolving shop fabrication or job site problems. In addition to fixing the immediate problem, this requires determining the cause of a problem and means to prevent, minimizing the possibility of a reoccurrence of the same problem.
- Assist Drafting with the layout and design of new equipment or equipment modifications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCCE:
- 4-6 years previous experience in a related field.
- Knowledge and experience with ASME Section I boilers and Section VIII pressure vessels required.
- Professional registration is beneficial.
- Knowledge of structural engineering design codes is beneficial.
- Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Wod and Excel.
- Must be motivated and willing to accept a challenge. Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changing schedules and demands.
- Good written and verbal skills are required.
- Must be able to relate and communicate well with people and varying degrees of education, product knowledge, and abilities.
