Kids Director

Purpose of the Job:

The Kids Director role is responsible for the implementation of our vision, mission, strategies and values throughout Victory Church’s Kids Ministry. The Kids Director creates a safe, fun environment where children can grow in their faith and understanding of who Jesus is. Success is achieved by developing dynamic programs for families, recruiting and training serve teams and ensuring that kids ministry aligns with Victory Church’s core.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Ability to communicate the Gospel through various means to children at various ages.

• Leadership background and experience serving with kids and students. Heart for children, students, and parents.

• Desire and proven ability to lead and build teams to accomplish the mission of Victory Church.

• Project management experience.

• Ability to articulate the mission, vision, strategies and values of Victory Church.

• Superior interpersonal skills working with a variety of people from Serve Team members to parents to kids and students.

• Positive attitude and approach to problem solving. Must be solution oriented.

• Must be a team player, people-oriented, and customer service minded.

• Computer competency in Microsoft Office, etc.

• Excellent editing and proofreading skills.

• Willingness to work after hours or on weekends when needed (regular office hours are Sunday through Thursday).

• Humble Spirit, strong work ethic, commitment to excellence

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Receive direction from Executive Pastor and communicate direction and vision to Kids’ ministry coordinators and serve team and follow up for completion of work.

• Lead children and families so they can take their Next Steps in their journey of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

• Recruit, develop, and empower leaders and volunteers to take their Next Step with Victory Kids.

• Help creatively foster an environment of a healthy community (Acts 2) and create vibrant, fun, and engaging Victory Kids classrooms for service experiences.

• Facilitate and assist the pastoral staff in child dedication and water baptism (for kids).

• Working with all location kids’ ministry directors in planning and implementing all-church events.

• Assist with editing curriculum and prepare it for the location.

• Oversee all department administration (budget, Planning Center workflows, etc.).
