What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager - Programming & Licensing position at VICTORIA THEATRE ASSOCIATION?
Purpose:
The Manager- Programming & Licensing covers a multitude of duties, including, but not limited to the following: Programming, Contract Management, implementing and managing a comprehensive licensing process for all Licensees. Manages and coordinates all functions between Licensees and all DAYTON LIVE Departments. Ensures superior customer service standards. A successful Manager- Programming & Licensing will be a collaborator who is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in an ever-changing environment. He/she must be able to motivate staff to produce quality work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
Essential Functions:
· Actively researches new shows, talent, agents, and promoters while maintaining positive working relationships with existing and new partners.
· Acts as secondary point of contact for talent buying.
· Works closely with Dayton Live’s Director of Programming and Licensing to ensure the financial viability or mission purpose before signing a show or artist.
· Reviews and makes necessary changes to all artist and show contracts.
· Responsible for settlements on select shows.
· Responsible for reporting show expense budgeting and makes recommendations to VP of Ticketing in regards to sales budgeting.
· Must clearly communicate payment deadlines to Programing Coordinator to ensure all show payments are made correctly and in a timely manner.
· Works closely with production, to make sure all aspects of the tech riders are executed correctly.
· Acts as key liaison with Dayton Live departments and licensees to coordinate programs and production meetings.
· Maintains detailed and accurate record of licensee programs and changes and communicates those changes to appropriate staff members.
· Supervises and manages the Programing Coordinator. This includes but is not limited to managing daily workload and offering training and growth opportunities
· Manages the Programing Coordinator to ensure accurate and up to date calendars for Victoria Theatre, Loft Theatre and Benjamin and Marian Schuster Center and all spaces contained within.
· Manages the Programing Coordinator to ensure invoices are generated and all fees resulting from licensee performances are collected.
· Maintains a detailed invoice register for finance and provides reports as needed.

Qualifications:Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree-preferred
- 3-5 years of experience of licensing within an entertainment environment is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with Licensees, peers, leads, management, and the general public.
- Must conduct duties in a positive, professional manner and maintain customer service initiatives.
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personalities and successfully work with all levels of the organization.
- Must be knowledgeable and proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Salary : $52,000 - $57,000
