Primary Purpose:
To provide clerical and administrative assistance to the Executive Director of the Victoria ISD Education Foundation.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Administrative and/or experience with non-profit organizations (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to use computer and general office equipment for typing, filing, entering data and performing bookkeeping tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
Effective organization, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle written correspondence, answer phones, forward calls and take messages
Ability to check emails, make appointments and maintain the Executive Director's schedule
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Mental/Physical/Environmental Demands:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; some districtwide travel
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist the Executive Director with the day-to-day operations of the Foundation.
2. Help prepare correspondence, forms, reports, marketing materials, and event packets.
3. Assist with managing donor database, sending thank you letters and tax receipts.
4. Retrieve, send, and organize mail.
5. Prepare bills for payment and make bank deposits.
6. Make copies, label and organize files, and shred documents as instructed.
7. Assist with Executive Director Committee and Board Meetings (secure date, time and meeting location; organize room/ arrange tables; prepare and distribute meeting materials and handouts).
8. Help the Executive Director organize all fundraising events and activities.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary : $16 - $20
