Position: Dietary Aide
Location: Brandon, Florida
Facility: Victoria Crossing Rehabilitation
Shift: Part Time | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Dietary Aide supports all food service operations in accordance with facility policies and procedures. This role plays a key part in preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals to ensure high-quality nutrition and satisfaction for our residents.
Responsibilities
Assist in daily and scheduled cleaning duties following facility guidelines.
Remove garbage and maintain a clean, dry, and hazard-free work environment.
Transport soiled dishes, utensils, and trays to the dishwashing area.
Deliver food carts, trays, and snacks to designated areas promptly.
Serve food in dining rooms following proper portion control standards.
Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas as directed.
Verify diet trays for accuracy before distribution.
Attend all mandatory facility in-service training programs.
Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.
Requirements
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must maintain an organized and neat work area.
Patient, tactful, and able to work well with residents, staff, and visitors.
Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry at least 50 feet.
Able to stand, bend, and move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must meet facility health requirements, including a physical examination.
