Beverage Cart Attendant

**EXPERIENCED BAR CART ATTENDANT OR BARTENDER REQUIRED.

**21 YEARS OR OLDER (must be legal to make and serve beverages).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are essential duties and responsibilities of the Beverage Cart Attendant. The Beverage Cart Attendant is expected to perform these duties and responsibilities regularly but is not limited to them.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Responsible for serving food and beverages in the snack bar and overseeing daily operations of the cafe/snack bar and beverage cart.

· Maintains beverage and snack quality and service standards, and contributes to overall cleanliness and organization of cart, snack bar, golf course, and facilities.

· Know and follow the rules of golf etiquette when approaching a golf group at all times.

· Understand and respond to all guests’ needs in a timely and efficient manner.

· Assist guests with food and beverage selections: make recommendations, inform of current specials, promote food and beverage products and services.

· Prepare food as needed using the barbecue, grill, and fryer.

· Perform cart set up and breakdown procedures.

· Follow all specified procedures to correctly handle all cash and credit transactions and to make daily deposits at the end of each closing shift.

· Observe all requirements and restrictions set forth by the California Alcohol Beverage Control Board.

SKILLS:

· Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart.

· Role involves pouring and serving alcohol; must be at least 21 years of age.

· Must pass the California Alcohol Beverage Control Certification.

· Efficient, reliable, safety minded with high quality standards for production and service.

· Willingness to learn.

· Excellent communication and comprehension skills.

· Provides excellent Customer Service Experience.

· Ability to understand basic English and follow simple verbal and written direction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• The position requires mobility. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, kneel, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects.
• Duties require attentiveness to visual and audible cues.
• May be required to work in the heat and sun for periods of time.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet.
• Must be capable of working under pressure.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The position of the Beverage Cart Attendant is directly under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Director, Dining Room Manager, Bar Manager, Manager on Duty (to include Head Golf Pro, Event Coordinator, or General Manager-contingent on the activity, i.e. Tournaments/Golf Events).
