JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: FRONT DESK ATTENDANT
REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER & ASSISTANT MANAGER
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk Attendant works the control center for the entire facility. You are responsible for assigning bowling lanes, distributing rental shoes, answering incoming phone calls, directing guests, and monitoring activity on the lanes. Front Desk Attendants increase sales by
Effectively managing lane turnover, waiting list, and providing tailored food, beverage, and merchandising purchase suggestions, including booking of events, birthday parties. Recognizing opportunities to sell the venue to customers’ is also a responsibility of the position.
Major Areas of Responsibility
· Extend a welcoming greeting to all guests providing friendly assistance regarding the bowling facility
· Efficiently operate all functions of the bowling computer and reservation system
· Ensure quick, accurate service to each guest including distribution of rental shoes
· Graciously and efficiently handling all scheduled parties, events and leagues
· Effectively manage the Wait List when the facility is full
· Pleasantly answer phones and in person inquires, effectively answering guests questions or referring them to the appropriate staff member.
· Proactively anticipating and providing guest services
· Communicate all guest concerns to management immediately.
· Knowing and understanding all pricing for bowling, food & beverage.
· Extend a friendly farewell and invite all guests back to the venue
· Additional tasks as assigned by management throughout the venue
Job Requirements
· Must be willing to work a variety of day, night, weekend & holiday shifts
· Must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure while multi-tasking
· Extremely friendly attitude
· Strong verbal communication skills in person and on the phone in the English language
· Must possess a positive service orientated attitude towards all guests and staff members
· Must be able to think outside the box and be solution orientated
· Must be able and willing to speak clearly and listen attentively to team mates and guests, occasionally in a loud environment
· Must be willing and able to engage with guests, listen to their concerns and effectively communicate with the management team
· Must be able to schedule and distribute event bookings to the appropriate departments.
