We are hiring motivated individuals to join our team as Weavers in a specialized textile manufacturing facility focused on producing aerospace and defense-grade woven fabrics. This is a hands-on production role operating shuttle looms to create precision textiles used in high-performance and mission-critical applications. No prior experience is necessary—comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate shuttle looms to produce engineered textiles for aerospace and defense applications according to detailed production specifications.
- Monitor loom performance and fabric quality throughout the shift, ensuring consistency and adherence to strict industry standards.
- Learn to make routine adjustments to shuttle boxes, picking arms, tension settings, and take-up mechanisms.
- Identify and correct basic weaving issues such as broken ends or missed picks (training provided).
- Assist with loom setup, threading, and changeovers under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications:
- No prior weaving experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a technical, high-precision production environment.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with machinery.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently after training.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
