What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Vicon Construction LLC?
Vicon Construction is a specialized self-performing concrete subcontractor known for delivering projects on time and within budget - consistently meeting or exceeding client expectations. We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers/Estimators with the daily activities.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Assist with the preparation, distribution, tracking and filing of paperwork - including but not limited to contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, pay requests, insurance certificates, legal notices, warranties, and project close-out documents.
- Assist Project Managers with contract review to ensure scope of work matches proposal; contract negotiation; if needed.
- Support to field personnel with scheduling, requests for information, field directives, material and equipment procurement.
- Assist with estimating of new construction projects and pricing of changes in scope of work for ongoing construction activities.
- Update and maintain logs for submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, field directives, daily reports, owner & subcontractor change orders.
- Assisting Project Mangers in all assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in construction preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
