Office Paraprofessional--High School

Our District serves over 2600 students in one high school, an alternative high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools and employs approximately 160 teachers and 200 other employees to meet the needs of our students.  Vicksburg Schools has a strong sense of community, demonstrated in the commitment to providing excellent schools and education for our children. 

Vicksburg Community Schools is seeking an Office Paraprofessional to work at our High School. 

This position works Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Starting one week before students return in the Fall through one week after students leave for Summer recess.
 
Qualifications:

• Ability to work with computers, word processing, Google Suite, and general office machines
• Must be willing to grow professionally
• Must be of good health; and be able to lift, bend, and stretch as the job requires
• Must have a good attendance record
• Must possess good decision-making skills
• Must be flexible in work assignments
• Must demonstrate sociability and warmth in attitude toward students, families, and employees
• Must be able to multitask in a busy office environment
• Ability to collaborate and work as a team player
• Ability to manage confidential material and information with discretion

 
Duties:

• Answering phones and entry door calls.
• Dispense medication when needed.
• Greet visitors when needed.
• Copy projects for staff.
• General office duties as assigned by the building principal.
