What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Division Leader position at Viceroy, Inc.?

The Operations Division Leader is responsible for the successful execution of projects assigned within business division and the provision of qualified field resources for all projects, with specific focus on executing with fulfillment excellence (safety, quality, ./integrity, productivity). Strong partnership with APM’s Resource Program to deliver best in class resources, building the next generation, and positioning APM as the “Contractor / Employer of Choice.” Customer focused position that requires building and maintaining strong relationships at the job site level that continually drive a positive customer experience.

  • Responsible for the successful execution of projects assigned within the business division and consistently meeting and continually striving to exceed fulfillment excellence metrics – safety, quality, integrity, productivity, and customer excellence.
  • Plan / coordinate / assign / mobilize field resources for projects partnering with APM Site Leadership adhering to Resource Program validation with any / all APM National Rate Structure(s) and utilize Resource Program to create schedule visibility for our resources and ONE APM, positioning APM as the “Contractor / Employer of Choice.”
  • Responsible for the management of all AirTime expectations including hazard hunts and job site audits (or other designated software / programs) based on needs of the business and / or direction of management.
  • Manage / Coach / Mentor Superintendents while driving training compliance and continuous improvement culture and completing Performance Reviews at the end of all projects.
  • Responsible for positioning all Superintendents for success on projects ensuring complete project information critical for success is accessible PRIOR to mobilization (Demand Placement / Job Order Form, billing rates, POs with number(s), APM roster / crew, etc.) and understand management / labor agreements driving use of appropriate agreements to maximize job success.
  • Assure APM representation in union pre-job meetings, assign work jurisdiction, ensure involvement in grievances, etc., and conduct APM pre-job meeting for each field project (Outage Readiness Review (ORR) call, leadership briefing) adhering to APM pre-job documentation.
  • Lead post-outage review for each project, including lessons learned and project success adhering to APM Post-Outage documentation and evaluating / rewarding based on incentive programs.
  • Participate and engage in GE / FieldCore ORR, Local Area Teams (LAT) events, and Key events with Superintendents when applicable. Drive specific focus on Job Cost Estimate (JCE) expectations and outage standards – job cost and profitability.
  • Build, establish, and maintain professional and positive relations with peers, customer representatives (direct customer and end customer), Business Agents, and all other personnel within the organization, as well as Building Trades representatives.
  • Partner with QA / EHS managers for site documentation preparation when applicable and provide case management support.
  • Review, approve, and decline requests for “Support Central” or other Company requests when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Required Experience/Skills

  • Minimum five (5) years experience in the industrial construction or maintenance business, especially union labor (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proven experience with jobsite / project / field resource management.
  • Advanced leadership / management skills, including planning, organizing, and team building.
  • Effective communication and influence with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be physically able to perform the physical minimum tasks of position. These include, but are not limited to: (1) standing and/or walking for extended periods of time; (2) climbing stairs/ladders/scaffolding; (3) lifting/picking-up/moving objects up to 50 pounds; (4) repetitive or extended bending, stooping, sitting; (5) crawling, maneuvering, or accessing tight spaces; (6) walking on surfaces that may be unpaved, uneven, or at elevated heights; (7) performing duties outside in heat/cold/inclement weather and around craft actively working; and (6) pass a drug and alcohol screen in accordance with APM’s alcohol and substance abuse program.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time with 50% during outage seasons (generally March – May and September – November of each year).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
