Produce Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Join our team at Vicente's Supermarket as a Produce Leader and play a vital role in delivering top-quality produce to our valued customers. As a Produce Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining the freshness and presentation of our produce department while providing exceptional customer service.

The Produce Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Produce Department; ordering of all product and supplies, scheduling, all financial aspects of the operation, training and developing of department associates, Safety, Quality Assurance, implement company policies and procedures, operate equipment safely, and merchandising.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be responsible to order and maintain inventory in your department, while utilizing inventory control procedures including proper markdown procedures to minimize known loss and to ensure product freshness and quality.
• Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise, check and verify product receiving to ensure that the items listed on vendor invoices are all delivered, check products for quality, count and conditions.
• Responsible for his entire department, achieving its service-oriented, ensuring that the department is properly signed and always tagged, the dates and the quality of the products.
• Be responsible to order and maintain inventory in your department, while utilizing inventory control procedures including proper markdown procedures to minimize known loss and to ensure product freshness and quality.
• Responsible for team accountable, ordering, shrink (everyday), inventory, Stoking and store conditions according to expectations.
• Responsible for the rotation, ensuring that all the products are fresh and in good condition for customer consumption, check if the product it's well packaged and in the right place.
• Ensure all temperatures of the cooler and refrigerators are maintained at a temperature of 35°F and the backroom as well.
• Maintaining sanitation (overall cleanliness of the department) and adherence to protocols, following the organizational standards.
• Coordinate for the weekly schedule whit his fresh manager (it should be designed with budget Hours set for the department) and team accountability.

Experience:

• In similar job positions for 2 years minimum.
• Leading teams.

Knowledge:

• Leardership

Language:

• Desirable speak Spanish and/or Portuguese

PHISICAL REQUIREMENTS (Working conditions)

• Must be able to lift heavy objects occasionally.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead racks and storage areas.
• Must be able to lift and carry out trash containers to be emptied outside the department.
• Must have sufficient physical mobility or agility to be able to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies such as cleanup requests due to accidental spills or breakage of glass.
• Must be able to stock coolers and shelves and endure working under extreme temperatures in Refrigerated and or Frozen storage areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
