The Role
VICE Studios is seeking a Coordinator to support the Scripted International Film & Television development team. This role sits at the center of a fast-moving creative operation, supporting senior executives while actively contributing to the development of a global slate.
This is a highly visible, high-impact role that blends light executive support with hands-on creative coordination. You will play a key role in shaping development processes through research, materials, and project tracking, while ensuring the team stays aligned and moving forward. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and creatively engaged—someone eager to grow into a development-focused career.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage calendars and scheduling for multiple executives, ensuring efficient coordination while prioritizing creative and development needs
- Serve as a central hub for development workflow—tracking meetings, agendas, notes, and follow-ups to support momentum across projects
- Maintain and update tracking systems for scripts, submissions, IP, and active development projects
- Log and route incoming materials (scripts, pitches, treatments) and track status across the team
- Prepare meeting agendas, take focused notes, and help drive next steps for internal and external discussions
- Support the creation of pitch materials, including decks, one-pagers, and visual assets (e.g., Canva, Google Slides)
- Conduct research on writers, directors, talent, production companies, and industry trends to inform development decisions
- Track competitive landscape across studios, networks, and streamers to support strategic positioning of projects
- Identify and surface IP opportunities, including within the VICE archive, for potential scripted adaptation
- Assist executives in preparing for pitches, general meetings, and market presentations with a focus on creative materials
- Draft professional outreach to agents, managers, producers, and talent as needed
Who You Are
- 1–3 years of experience in an assistant or coordinator role at an agency, studio, production company, or management company
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional outreach
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and comfortable building presentation materials
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong interest in scripted television and film, with an understanding of the current marketplace
- Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset with a strong creative sensibility
Bonus
- Familiarity with IMDbPro and industry research tools
- Experience supporting multiple executives simultaneously
- Exposure to development workflows, submissions tracking, or slate management
- Experience creating visual materials (e.g., Canva, pitch decks, one-pagers)
- Awareness of international television markets and co-production landscape
