About This Role
The Staff Development Coordinator (RN) leads training and development for clinical team members across our assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care areas. This role ensures staff are prepared, confident, and compliant with required education and best practices. By strengthening onboarding, ongoing education, and competency validation, this position directly supports quality care and positive outcomes for our members.
What You’ll Do
- Lead new hire orientation for health services team members
- Develop and deliver training programs and in-services for clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with required education (infection control, safety, resident rights, dementia care)
- Track and maintain training records, certifications, and competencies
- Conduct clinical skill validations and competency evaluations
- Partner with leadership on quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness
- Serve as a mentor and resource to nursing staff
Must Have Skills
- Active RN license in the State of Florida
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or assisted living
- Strong communication and facilitation/presentation skills; must be able to read, write and speak English
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in staff development, education, or training roles
- Familiarity with survey processes and compliance audits
- Experience supporting infection prevention or quality programs
Education: Nursing degree required (RN)
