About This Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll provide compassionate, resident-centered care within our Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle Memory Care Community, supporting residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. You'll work closely with residents, families, CNAs, and healthcare professionals to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where residents can maintain their independence, confidence, and sense of self.

What You'll Do
👩⚕️ Resident Care & Clinical Support
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate observations promptly to the RN or Director of Nursing
- Perform routine nursing procedures, including wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and monitoring vital signs
- Support residents in maintaining their highest level of comfort, safety, and independence
Montessori-Inspired Memory Care
- Support a person-centered approach that recognizes each resident's strengths, preferences, and abilities
- Encourage engagement through meaningful daily interactions and activities
- Help create a calm, supportive, and purposeful environment for residents living with memory impairments
- Promote dignity, choice, and quality of life in every aspect of care
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Provide guidance and direction to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Communicate effectively with families regarding resident needs and changes in condition
- Serve as a resource and support for caregivers throughout your shift
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation within the electronic medical record
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support resident rights, privacy, confidentiality, and dignity
- Participate in training programs, emergency preparedness drills, and continuing education opportunities
- Help maintain adequate supplies and equipment within the community

Qualifications:
Must Have Skills
- Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical nursing skills and assessment abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise and support CNA team members
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in Memory Care, Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Skilled Nursing
- Experience working with individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Knowledge of person-centered or Montessori-based care approaches
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience
