Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Ark Animal Hospital looking to add an enthusiastic and proactive Certified Veterinary Technician to our leadership team as a Technician Supervisor. VCA Ark has been part of the Avondale, Chicago community since 2003. We are expanding 4-doctor practice. Our hospital has been AAHA certified since 2007 and practices low-stress and fear-free techniques. We offer routine services from wellness care to surgical and dental procedures. We also offer more advanced procedures such as an on-call surgeon for orthopedics. VCA Ark has a recently renovated facility and state-of-the-art equipment including ultrasound, digital x-ray, and brand new lab equipment. We have digital radiography; as well as up-to-date technology for easy patient check-ins. You will work alongside our Medical Director and Hospital Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment. In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to: Implementing department policies and procedures. Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings. Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs. Interviewing, training and mentoring new and existing staff. Delivering employee performance feedback. Monitoring day-to-day activities and engaging with support staff. Location: 3235 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL 60618 The hospital is located in a quiet neighborhood, has quick access to public transportation (Blue line, I-90, and train station), and is within walking distance of several popular restaurants and breweries.
