Job Summary
Join the Vibrant Minds Charter School team as a Special Education Instructional Assistant! We are seeking caring, dependable, and collaborative individuals to support scholars with disabilities in accessing and participating in their educational program. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary Special Education team, you will work closely with education specialists, general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to help every scholar thrive. Assignments may include one-to-one, small-group, or classroom support while implementing IEPs, reinforcing instruction, supporting positive behavior, promoting communication, and fostering scholar independence.
Requirements / Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent Must meet one of the following paraprofessional requirements: * Associate's degree or higher; or * Completion of at least 48 semester units at an accredited college or university; or * Passage of an approved paraprofessional/basic skills assessment * Resume * Letter of Introduction * Three current Letters of Recommendation Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with students with disabilities in educational, childcare, therapeutic, or community settings * Experience implementing behavior supports or working with scholars with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or other exceptional learning needs * Spanish bilingual skills are highly desirable
