Essential Responsibilities
Program Operations
- Coordinate daily schedules for individual sessions, group programming, and clinical activities
- Serve as the primary liaison with detention facility staff regarding admissions, transfers, discharges, and operational matters
- Maintain accurate daily census and program records
- Monitor documentation compliance and required timelines
- Coordinate logistics related to court appearances, evaluations, and testimony
- Track program outcomes and performance measures
- Assist with quality assurance activities and chart reviews
Court Coordination
- Communicate with judges, judicial assistants, defense attorneys, and prosecutors regarding case status
- Prepare and submit competency reports and progress updates in accordance with statutory requirements
- Coordinate court appearances for psychiatric testimony
- Maintain tracking systems for court orders, deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Respond to court-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure required court documentation is submitted accurately and on time
Administrative Support
- Manage participant medical records in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Process authorized release of information requests
- Maintain participant files, including court orders, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Prepare monthly reports regarding census, outcomes, and program activities
- Coordinate staff schedules and coverage
- Order supplies and maintain inventory
- Handle general correspondence and phone calls
Community Liaison
- Coordinate discharge planning with community mental health centers and service providers
- Facilitate linkages to outpatient psychiatric care, housing, and support resources
- Maintain effective working relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and community education efforts
- Develop and maintain post-discharge resource directories
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health, healthcare, criminal justice, or a related setting
- Experience with court systems, legal documentation, or forensic services preferred
- Experience in program coordination or case management preferred
- Familiarity with severe and persistent mental illness populations preferred

Work Environment
- Work is performed primarily in a correctional facility setting
- Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility as needed
