Licensed Professional Counselor or LCSW

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, qualified, and motivated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide mental health counseling, clinical assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic services to individuals experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing ethical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and clinical interviews.
• Evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, couples, or family counseling, as appropriate to training and licensure.
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed interventions, as appropriate.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical needs.
• Assess suicide risk, self-harm risk, and other safety concerns; develop safety plans and coordinate appropriate referrals when necessary.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation and electronic health records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate and authorized.
• Provide psychoeducation and coping strategies to support emotional wellness and recovery.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources and higher levels of care when indicated.
• Maintain compliance with professional ethics, confidentiality requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Participate in clinical supervision, consultation, team meetings, and continuing education as required.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Counseling or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state where services are provided.
• Knowledge of counseling theories, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and with varying mental health needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in outpatient mental health, private practice, community mental health, or behavioral health settings.
• Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, mood disorders, or other behavioral health concerns.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Experience working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, or families, depending on the position.
• Additional training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care, or other specialized therapeutic approaches.
