Sanitation Operator

JOB SUMMARY: The Sanitation Operator is responsible for general clean-up of entire facility (facility is a food processing facility. Includes production common areas, bathrooms, offices, QC/R&D Labs, and warehouse areas). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Previous sanitation experience preferredHS Diploma or GEDMust be mechanically inclinedAbility to use various types of cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, and bucketsAbility to read procedures and safety information in EnglishSkills, Traits, & Competencies:Good organizational skillsDemonstrate ability to work independently, set priorities, and make decisions with general guidance and supervisionGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong work ethic and sense of urgencyAbility to resolve problems and communicate status in a timely mannerAbility to effectively multi-task to meet deadlines and commitmentsAbility to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environmentKnowledge of sanitary practices KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Facility cleaning (common areas, halls, and traffic areas, building exteriors, warehouse) following a master sanitation schedule and documenting as requiredCleaning of all Restrooms (production and office restrooms), keeping supplies stockedCleaning of all Break rooms, stocking supplies as requiredCleaning of QC/R&D Labs, and office areasMaintaining ground free of trash, debris & dirtRemoval of cobwebs, insects etc. throughout facilityMaintain housekeeping and sanitation of areas according to company GMPs and SOPs.
