What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development (Fundraising) Internship/Volunteer position at Vibha?
Vibha is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that strengthens public education by identifying, supporting, and scaling solutions that improve learning outcomes for children in India and the US. By working with grassroots partners, communities, and governments, Vibha helps proven education models reach millions of children, 8.8 million to date and 2.5m in the last year alone.
Working with the Director of Development, the intern or volunteer will be asked to support with one or more of the following:
- Grant writing: drafting and supporting grant submissions, building a HNI resources;
- Communication, marketing, graphic design for upcoming campaigns or outreach;
- Research and outreach: identifying foundations (100 leads already in hand), potential new cities for volunteer recruitment, conferences, and partnership contacts;
- Ensuring effective communication of our programs to donors;
- Administrative support for data visualization/dashboard creation, fundraising mapping, etc.;
- Creating proposals for new fundraising ideas: researching gaps using government school performance data, drafting proposals, ideally seeing them through to finding a funder(s);
- Special projects: open-ended creative initiative to leave a mark on Vibha;
- Meetings: attending as associate-level support as needed.
Requirements
- 10 hours per month minimum, 4 month comittment
- Over age 18
- English fluency
- Good with Google Suite of systems
Location: Fully remote
Compensation: Unpaid
