Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable products based on their preferences and experience levels
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Maintain accurate stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met
- Assist with upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue
- Handle retail store product knowledge confidently to answer questions and guide customers effectively
- Demonstrate professional phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
Requirements
- Prior retail sales or grocery store experience preferred; strong familiarity with POS systems is essential
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear, friendly interactions both in person and over the phone
- Experience in product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stock management is desirable
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations, cash register operations, and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, cannabis products (if applicable), and compliance regulations
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle retail sales transactions professionally
