You'll work alongside experienced engineers to ensure our software meets the rigorous quality standards demanded by the aerospace industry, using modern tools including AI from day one.
What You'll Do
- Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and test programs
- Write and maintain a significant portion of your test suite using AI-assisted development tools
- Debug software products through systematic testing to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for Viavi's avionics test equipment
- Analyze and document test results to support debugging and software modification
- Collaborate with development engineers to identify and resolve software defects
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Familiarity with Python and Linux environments
- Comfort working in a hardware and electronics environment
- Experience or coursework involving test automation (e.g., Selenium or similar frameworks)
- Familiarity with Git for version control
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a drive to find root causes
- Genuine passion for quality, testing, or software craftsmanship
- Ability to communicate clearly with both engineering and cross-functional teams
