What you'll do:
This role is responsible for leading projects and collaborating with business leaders within the Government business segment. The selected candidate will apply sound judgment to complex planning, design, technical, and management functions. Effectiveness will be determined by this individual’s ability to quickly form partnerships across the Government Segment and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned cross-segment projects.

Reporting to the Government Segment President, the primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing decision support through data gathering, information analysis, and presentation of relevant considerations to key stakeholders
- Coordinating the execution of strategic initiatives and guiding them to on-time completion
- Ensuring all Group-level issues are addressed properly, efficiently, and judiciously while tracking progress until resolved.
- Orchestrating and facilitating group events (conferences, off-sites & all-hands), meeting agendas, logistics, and follow-ups. Establishing agenda for, scheduling, and taking meeting minutes at the Group President’s staff meetings.
- Anticipating, identifying, and troubleshooting issues of concern or significance, and exercising discretion to provide timely information and necessary updates across multiple stakeholders
- Ensuring individuals assigned to support projects execute the identified and assigned tasks and provide appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
- Managing Group President visits to company sites to maximize impact and visibility and foster employee communication with the Group President
- Working with the Group President and the organization’s executive assistant to prioritize external engagement attendance.
- Carrying out and supporting other projects as assigned by the Group President
- Developing relationships with executive-level and senior management and keeping them informed of the corporate planning calendar and other items related to GP priorities.
- Working across Corporate with other Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Chiefs of Staff to ensure consistency across projects and objectives.
- Transforming ideas and leadership inputs into executive-level PowerPoint briefings and written reports.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university required.
- 12 years of relevant experience and leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of program management/scheduling tools and techniques is expected.
- Sufficient knowledge of our business and technical terminology to enable independent performance of all identified responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying functional and operational departments
- Detail-oriented and data-driven
- Ability to analyze and compile large swaths of data and present effective reports
- Strong analytical, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, including the ability to establish positive and productive working relationships inside and outside the company across time zones.
Clearance - Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Current clearance is preferred.
Salary range: $164,100.00 - $262,600.00 / annually : At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
