Responsibilities may include:
- Provide music therapy services to hospice patients based on their individualized plan of care.
- Assess patients’ emotional, physical, and spiritual needs and implement appropriate music therapy interventions.
- Use music techniques such as singing, instruments, and guided music activities to promote comfort, relaxation, and quality of life.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to support patient care.
- Document visits and patient progress in accordance with hospice policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and engagement for patients and families during end-of-life care.
Requirements for this position include:
- Minimum of Undergraduate degree in music therapy, MT-BC (or be eligible to sit for exam-with certification prior to start date).
- Therapist must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
- 2 years of music therapy experience preferred.
