What You Will Do


The Production Supervisor will play a critical role in leading day-to-day operations on the production floor. This is for a 3:30PM-1:00AM shift. You will be responsible for supervising a team of production employees, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to achieve production goals and customer expectations.


  • Supervise and coordinate production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor Production Processes, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Lead daily production meetings to review goals, performance, and address any concerns.
  • Manage a team of production employees and activities in assigned area to ensure production follows company policies and regulations.
  • Develop manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
  • Manage production line maintenance and downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
  • Evaluate employees in assigned area; manage the labor pool and labor expenses within assigned areas.
  • Create and recommend manufacturing policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Prepare documentation, reports and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide support and prioritization for process improvements.
  • Ensure budgets, schedules and performance requirements are met. Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
  • Check production output according to specifications
  • Submit reports on performance and progress
  • Enforce safety guidelines and company standards
  • Additional duties upon request


What You Will Bring


  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably in the fiber optics industry.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in related field, or equivalent vocational or technical education.
  • 3 or more years manufacturing experience a plus
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Sound judgement and decision-making abilities
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn. The ability to learn quickly and continuously and maintain a flexible and adaptive mindset necessary for a fast-paced environment.
