ViaPath is currently seeking a Network Infrastructure Manager to join our team. Responsibilities will include managing the staff and overall activities associated with ViaPath network infrastructure deployment and operational readiness.
This is a hybrid based position located at the ViaPath office in Dallas, TX.
- Define complex project plans to including scope, budget and schedule and execute tasks to achieve goals
- Generation and management of SOPs for smooth business operations. Identify gaps in process and remediate as necessary
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues, and inform users of network problems
- Support network availability, upgrades, and problem resolution
- Work in collaboration with other departments and teams for implementations and changes to network infrastructure
- Provide regular reporting updates to senior management on the planning and execution of network infrastructure installs, upgrades, remediations, and break/fix
- Establish positive team relations through effective communication and ongoing support
- Serve as a mentor and point of escalation for members of the team
- Manage leadership/administrative functions including PTO approval, performance reviews, counseling, work calendar, training coordination, budget creation/tracking
- Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements
- Drive a high-performance culture and environment by continued development of a disciplined, detailed, and structured team
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; equivalent years of experience will be considered
- 5 years of experience in Enterprise network level design and architecture to include a minimum of 1 year of leadership/management experience
- Experience in enterprise network infrastructure engineering and working knowledge of Fortinet, Ubiquiti, Cisco network equipment
- Experience in troubleshooting network performance/availability issues and directing teams to resolve
- Advanced understanding of BGP, Spanning Tree, IPAM, DNS, DHCP, ACLs, IPSEC VPN, VLAN etc.
- Experience in creating SOP and training documentations
- Experience working in high stress support environments
- Ability to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong analytical and logical thinking applied with an excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and customer business leaders
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
