- Adheres to Viant Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Gagetrak system that monitors the calibration cycle and status of all measurement and test equipment.
- Maintain any other records, paper or electronic, as required.
- Calibrate as required all company (Viant Brimfield) owned equipment as well as customer supplied gaging, either in-house or by an outside vendor, which may include optical comparator, VMM, OGP, CMM, calipers, micrometers, dial/test indicators, gage pins/hard gages, profilometer, surface plates, and height stands.
- Repair gages as needed; if unable to do internally, send to an outside repair service and /or request a quote for replacement.
- Coordinate sending and receiving gages from customers/vendors.
- Coordinate and perform collection of gages due for calibration.
- Perform risk evaluations as needed for inspection equipment.
- Understanding of GD&T and other blueprint and dimensioning methods.
- References with Calibration SME (Subject Matter Expert) when needed.
- May assist in executing capability studies and test method validation.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed.
- May assist in performing calibration activities
- Performs other functions as required, such as incoming inspection
- High School diploma or GED
- Technical degree or Associates degree required
- 0-2 years. Relative co-op, internship, part-time, or classroom training experience is preferred.
- Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel preferred
- Experience with Minitab is a plus
- Competence in the selection and use of Inspection Tools and Techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and comply with relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (e.g. FDA 21CRF820, ISO 13485:2016, QSR, etc.)
- Must be able to complete prioritized tasks with minimal direct supervision
