- Work with multiple Viant manufacturing sites to improve CNC manufacturing processes and programs
- Supports continuous improvement activities to increase quality, delivery, cost, safety and moral. Involved with complex technical projects to meet project requirements within designated timeframe.
- Identifies, develops, and implements new technology or improvements to existing technology.
- Minimum Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field preferred. Years of relevant experience will be required
- Minimum Experience: 7 years’ applicable engineering experience
- Frequent travel between Viant sites will be required
- Must be able to work with several different teams
- Experience: 5 years of CNC programming experience or Associate’s degree in technical field with 2-4 years of CNC programming experience.
- Knowledge & Skills: Strong problem solving and solid decision-making. Ability to work in cross-functional/department teams. Experience and working knowledge of machining, lean manufacturing, process design, and design for manufacturing methodologies. Capable of investigating, developing, and implementing new process technologies. Ability to develop, justify, and execute project plans. Experience in medical device or regulated industry preferred.
- Capable of creating CNC programs for machines utilizing provided software for multiple platforms including; 3, 4, and 5 axis mills, Mill/Turn, swiss and chucker lathes, wire EDM.
- Ability to read and develop technical drawings, models, and prints.
- Computer operation skills. Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Knowledge of GD&T. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
- Partmaker - Swiss lathes
- Mastercam – Mills
- Solidworks – Model and print creation
