Main Purpose of Job
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the facility in clean and orderly condition. The incumbent will perform cleaning duties in the controlled manufacturing environment as well as other areas in the facility such as laboratories, recycling areas, floors, rugs, walls, glass, and rubbish removal.
Main Job Responsibilities
Adheres to Viant Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements including Quality Management Systems (QMS), FDA regulations, and company policies.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
Clean laboratory equipment using appropriate methods.
Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and equipment.
Monitor building security and safety.
Notify managers of repair needs.
Position Requirements
Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge / Education
High School Diploma or GED
Job Experience
0–2 years of experience in facility maintenance/cleaning; hospital or controlled room experience preferred.
Skills / Competencies
Controlled Manufacturing Environment cleaning
Physical Requirements
Extended periods of bending, lifting, sitting, and standing
Significant use of hands
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment
