Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments.
- Take customer orders with enthusiasm, upsell menu items to enhance sales, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage food stock levels by restocking supplies, monitoring inventory, and notifying management of shortages or equipment issues.
- Assist with food handling duties such as bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the truck remains organized and hygienic.
- Support quick service operations by efficiently managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Engage with customers to answer questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests to enhance their experience.
- Follow all health and safety protocols related to food industry standards, including proper sanitation practices and safe food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; culinary experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a quick service or fast-food setting; multitasking skills are essential.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Experience working in a café or retail grocery environment is advantageous.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks comfortably.
