What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embryologist position at ViaGen?
An ideal candidate for this position would be well-versed in the technical details of embryo cultivation and have in-depth knowledge of the legal aspects of embryo research. The Embryologist must be able to communicate effectively with other experts and members of our research teams regarding the development and foreseeable future of embryo research and to maintain a professional relationship with those outside the field.

- Preparing and handling semen samples
· Oocyte and embryo handling
· Embryo freezing and thawing
· Media preparation
· Cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing all lab equipment
· Maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment such as, centrifuges, pipettes, different types of microscopes, dry bath, etc.
· Ensuring lab is well stocked, clean, and organized
· Routine weekend work
· Occasional night work
· Data recording and entry
· Client inventory
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Reproductive Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, particularly within a hospital or research laboratory environment.
- Proficiency in specimen collection processing techniques and blood sampling methods.
- Familiarity with laboratory management practices and quality control measures.
- Strong understanding of assay techniques including ELISA and PCR.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with medical staff, patients, and researchers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
